KCALG believes that our elected officials must continue to be aware that many county citizens remain opposed to the expansion of gambling in Kenosha County.  Continue to communicate with your elected officials and voice your opinion by the following:

1. Call or write your county board supervisor

What do I say?

  • Indicate you are a registered voter
  • Describe how gambling has affected you personally
  • Raise facts that demonstrate the detriments of gambling
  • Raise questions that remain unanswered by casino supporters
  • Ask specifically for the individual to oppose the proposed Kenosha casino
  • 2. Call or write your city council alderman

    3. Write a brief opinion letter to the Kenosha News Voice of the People column
    VOP letters must be 350 words or less and include your name and contact information; VOP will call to ask if indeed you contributed your submission; you may request anonymous to appear in place of your name; email letters to vop@kenoshanews.com or mail to Voice of the People, Kenosha News  5800 Seventh Ave.  Kenosha, WI  53140
    4.  Ask your neighbor, clergyperson, or civic leader to join you in opposition to the casino
